The man's maniacal laughter echoed through the room as he stood over the woman's battered body, his eyes blazing with a sinister intensity. "You thought you could deceive me, you worthless traitor?" he sneered, his voice dripping with venom. "I'll destroy that pathetic man you betrayed me with... and as for you, my dear, you'll pay for your treachery!"


Charlie, the little girl, cowered in her hiding spot, her heart racing with terror. She had witnessed her parents' arguments before, but never with such brutal ferocity. Her mother's anguished screams still lingered in the air as she lay motionless on the floor. Charlie's eyes were fixed on her mother's pale face, her gaze frozen in horror.


As the man's rage reached a fever pitch, Charlie's mother mustered a final, desperate glance at her daughter. She shook her head, a silent plea to stay hidden, to stay safe. Charlie's jaw dropped, her breath trapped in her throat, as she watched her father's cruelty unfold. Tears streamed down her face, her heart shattering into a million pieces.


The man's laughter grew louder, more maniacal, as he began to change. His eyes glowed a sickly yellow, and his limbs twisted and elongated, fur sprouting across his body. "Charlie! Charlie! Charlie!" he bellowed, his voice now a guttural growl. Charlie trembled, knowing she had to escape, to hide from the werewolf's wrath. She watched, paralyzed, as he stormed out of the front door, leaving her alone with her mother's lifeless body.


With a surge of adrenaline, Charlie rushed to her mother's side, tears pouring down her face. "Mum, why? You left me alone with him... what do I do now?" She touched her mother's stomach, where blood had pooled, and wept uncontrollably. As she sobbed, the full moon's light streamed through the window, casting an eerie glow over the room. Charlie felt a strange pull, a stirring within her, as if the moon itself was calling to her.


Her tears subsided as a newfound determination took hold. Charlie knew she had to survive, had to find a way to escape her monstrous father. The moon's power surged through her veins, awakening something ancient and powerful. She felt her own transformation beginning, her senses sharpening, her strength growing.
