“Lucas let me go!”
“I can’t do that
Catherine! You know that I am your Alpha! You must obey my command!”
“I don’t love you!
I cannot accept you as my mate!” Catherine said bitterly to the man who locked
her inside her room.
“I know that you’re
going to meet that Vampire Estefan! Can’t you see that he is our enemy?” Lucas
who was on the other side of the door retorted.
“Please, Lucas. I
cannot be your mate.”
“What are you
talking about? You are my Luna!”
“I’m so sorry
Lucas, but I’m carrying Estefan’s baby,” Catherine said apologetically.
Lucas was
heartbroken; his beloved Catherine seemed to be out of his reach now. Breaking
the bond between mates is painful but hearing that she loves Estefan and she’s
carrying his baby hurts more.
“The elders will
kill me, Lucas, if they’ve found out that I am carrying a vampire’s child,”
Catherine said in between her cries. “Have mercy on us, Lucas. My child is
innocent.”
“Lucas, I know that
you’re still there. Please, I’m begging you, for the sake of our friendship.
Let me go and live free.”
‘She knows the grave consequences of her
actions yet she still chose to love that Vampire Estefan.’ Lucas cried bitterly
outside Catherine’s door. Recalling the happy memories they have together since
childhood.
